Frequently asked questions

Are the snow reports reliable?

Daily we get snow reports submitted from hundreds of ski resorts. The information is provided by the resorts themselves. It is possible that these numbers are more positive than reality. Snow reports are a good indication.

When do you start with the snow reports?

The delivery of weather information is subject to the start of the ski season per resort. Often it starts early December and ends on May 31. The first snow reports are expected from 6 (Switzerland) to December 20 (Germany), but with heavy snowfall it may start from November already.

I just recieved a SnowAlert, but there was no snowfall today?

The weather information provided by the resorts themselves can hav a one or two-day delay. Sometimes a SnowAlert tells you it did snow 2 days ago. This is very rare.

Is there enough snow for skiing in month... at my destionation?

Nobody can be 100% sure about that, but we measured the snow depth in every resort for the last 10 years and turned it into graphs. So you can easily see if there was enough snow on your ski destination in a given period. See the tab "Conditions" on your destination.
